Terms of Service & Booking Conditions

1. Service Definition

Nahuel Balsas provides independent, private walking and public transit tour guide services in Kyoto City and Uji, Japan. All bookings are strictly private for the contracting party only. The service operates on an exclusive basis of one party per day.

2. Payment Policy (50/50 Split)

To confirm a tour reservation, a 50% advance deposit is arranged directly with Nahuel after he confirms availability, the itinerary, the price, and payment instructions on WhatsApp. Your reservation is confirmed in writing after the agreed deposit. The remaining 50% balance is payable in person to Nahuel Balsas at the start of the tour (in cash JPY or approved electronic transfer).

3. Quote Validity & Expiry

Nahuel communicates quote validity and any agreed date hold personally on WhatsApp. Preparing a message does not reserve a date. There are currently no automatic calendar holds or online checkout sessions.

4. Cancellation & Refund Schedule

7 days or more before start (≥168h): 100% refund of deposit paid (0% cancellation fee).
Between 7 days and 72 hours before start (72h–168h): 20% of total tour fee retained as cancellation fee; remaining deposit refunded (80% refund of deposit).
Between 72 hours and 24 hours before start (24h–72h): 50% of total tour fee retained as cancellation fee (deposit retained; 0% deposit refund).
Less than 24 hours before start (<24h) or No-Show: 100% contractual fee applies (deposit retained; any unpaid contractual balance reviewed manually).

5. Weather & Force Majeure

Tours operate in light and normal seasonal rain. If meteorological authorities issue red severe weather warnings (typhoons, violent storms, or transit line suspensions), the tour will be rescheduled by mutual consent, or the advance deposit will be refunded in full without penalty.

6. Local Respect & Etiquette

Guests are expected to observe Japanese cultural manners, including respecting neighborhood photography restrictions (particularly in Gion), removing shoes where required at temples, and disposing of trash responsibly.

Delivery of Service: In-person walking/transit guiding at mutually confirmed Kyoto/Uji meeting location and date.
